“Self-isolation makes me appreciate my life more”

Did we really have to go through an unexpected event such as global pandemia, so we can actually appreciate our life more?

We are being shown what lack of freedom is so we can really value our freedom of movement when we have it.

We have been isolated from each other, so that we crave, understand and appreciate human face-to-face connection better.

We are being separated in our homes and away from each other, so we can understand the magic found in a tight hug or warm embrace.

We are being shown a pretty solitary way of living, so that we FULLY enjoy big communities, events, parties and gatherings when we have them, with laughs and music filling the air.
I believe that all of this period of self-isolation is meant to help us reflect upon our lives and value MORE all the things we so easily take for granted.

I believe that many times only when something is being taken away from you, you get to value it, to appreciate and cherish it truly.

Be grateful for all that you experience now, because it turns you into a more grateful and humble person.

A wonderful life is ahead of you. And soon all of this will be behind us.

But when we DO get back to our regular way of living, I want you to remember to be grateful for all that you have.

For all the joys of your modern life. For your friends and social life. For your career. For your health. For being able to travel. For your loved ones.

When all of this is over, I want you to go back to your regular, normal life and see it with different eyes.

Get out in the world and perceive it with the innocence, awe and excitement of a child.

Just like you’re starting from a blank slate. And keep on discovering the magic & miracles in your life.

When life gets back to normal, remember to never take anyone and anything for granted.

Because in a few moments, boom – the world as you know it, could change.

That’s why there is so much magic to be found in being grateful for all that you have and experience.

And lastly, don’t forget to be grateful for this present moment now.

Because you might not see it now, but these turbulent times are going to bring you so much growth as a person.

You’ll come out of this stronger.
So be grateful in advance for the person you are becoming in the process.

Because you are becoming a better you.
And sooner or later…
This too, shall pass.
And what you’ll be left with is a more experienced, wiser and stronger version of yourself.
