5 tips to unleash the business in YOU

We all have a business within us. It’s usually that something we enjoy doing so much and we’re also good at. Actually, it’s such a big part of our inner selves that most of the times we don’t even realise it’s there. The following tips are dedicated to anyone serious about starting a business or still in the early stage of refining their idea and business model…

  1. Be strong. Be confident.

Many people say they want to start a business but they don’t have a good idea to start from. Others though, have The big Idea but fail to see its true potential and they are not willing to take the risks.

But true entrepreneurs not only have an idea, but also believe in it from the bottom of their hearts and most of all, they believe in themselves. “I’m too young”, “I don’t know the industry”, “I still need to learn”, “I don’t have what it takes to be an entrepreneur yet”…. are nothing more than excuses. Get rid of that negative ‘self-talk’ and replace it with uplifting feedback from your ‘inner voice’.

If you’re going to be thinking anything, you might as well think positive right?

  1. Find your passion and make a business out of it!

You need a lot of energy as an entrepreneur. But when you have the passion, you also get the energy to keep you going. And going.

My passions? I’ve always been into dance, movement, organizing events and I just love creating experiences that get people together. Within my group of friends, I’ve always been the party organizer! And here I am, organizing workout experiences like no other, set in a party atmosphere with upbeat music.

In order to discover your true passion, think about it this way: if money wasn’t an issue, what’s that one thing you would do? What do you enjoy doing so much that you could even do for free for your whole life?

  1. Get sound advice from a mentor

Embarking on the entrepreneurial journey is more often than not a lonely route. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Ask the right questions to the right persons that can guide you through your journey.

Advice from friends and family can boost your morale, but how many years have they been in business? How much do they know about your industry?

Find an experienced entrepreneur who can be your mentor and don’t be afraid to ask for advice. You’ll see you won’t feel alone anymore. At least I know that without my mentors and advisors I wouldn’t be where I am now and I’m so grateful to them.

  1. Tap into the power of networking

Surround yourself by successful people. Stay around people who play the game high. You can find them everywhere from networking events to business seminars, so just go out there and connect with them. It’s a well-known saying that your net worth = your network. Also find a killer role model, figure out what makes him successful and try to model him.

Now whom do you admire? Is there any way you can get to that person?

  1. Step out of your comfort zone

Life gives you the opportunities, but it is you who can make sense of them. Now the question is: do you want to make the opportunities happen or would you rather let them pass by?

You are the writer of your own life story. So just look in the mirror, ask yourself this question and decide once and for all: how do you want your life story to look like?

Then make a decision. What will make this story write itself?

Decide on the spot. In a blink of the eye. In a heartbeat. Remember the best decisions in our lives are sometimes the scariest ones too.

Now, start with setting up some goals and having a clear vision of what you want to do. With the right mindset, opportunities will then arise out of nowhere.

And when they come, make sure you recognize them and be prepared to grab them by hair! Or maybe the opportunities have been around you the whole time, it’s just that you are too busy looking for them elsewhere…

Time to dig deeper, the business is in you.
